The following is a description of the software repositories used in ClearOS:
base-console
The base-console repository contains the software required for the graphical console.
base-extras
The base-extras repository contains software that provides additional functionality to the ClearOS system. Nothing in this repository will interfere with the core ClearOS software components. Also keep in mind that software in this repository is not officially supported, but the development team makes best efforts to keep everything up-to-date. This is where you will find features like upnp and ntop.
base-kernels
The base-kernels repository contains the latest Linux kernel and drivers for ClearOS.
base-os
The base repository contains the core ClearOS operating system.
base-supplements
The base-supplements repository contains supplementary software derived from the base software. In other words, you will find non-essential packages that were derived from core packages, for example: openldap-devel, php-snmp, etc.
base-updates
The base-updates repository contains software updates for the core ClearOS operating system.
base-plus
The base-plus repository contains bleeding edge software upgrades for the ClearOS system. Only install software from this repository if you really know what you are doing!
clearcentos-os
The clearcentos-os repository contains most (but not all) of the CentOS software packages. Software packages that have required modifications have been removed from this repository.
clearcentos-updates
The clearcentos-os repository contains the software updates for the clearcentos-os repository.
