The Grind

The last part of the meeting is all about the week-to-week work that has to get done. This is a chance to discuss short term milestones, roadblocks, and resources issues:

  • New build system
  • PHP 5.2.x and Elrepo
  • ClearOS 5.2 Test Release

Minutes

The meeting was held using the DimDim web conferencing tool. Needless to say, we ran into some technical issues and learning curves. We may revert to a good old fashioned telephone conferencing system next time around, or just use IRC. The following is an outline of what was discussed.

The development team was introduced:

  • Peter Baldwin - gatekeeper (keymaster?)
  • Ben Chambers - jack of all trades
  • David Loper - LDAP, loperpedia smart
  • Shad Lords - build and release manager
  • Darryl Sokoloski - does all the hard stuff
  • John Terpstra - the architect, Samba, LDAP

ClearOS Mission

An example ClearOS mission statement was reviewed. The intention was to give some scope to the project and note differences with the old ClarkConnect product.
