Script checking Open/Closed Or Stealth port in Lan 1 Year ago
I will do a script/program to check my local ports state Open,Closed or Stealth with an web UI for ClearOS 6.2 something similar to the one at www.grc.com but for test on my local firewalls on all computers connected to ClearOS gateway.
I will do this as an modul for my ClearOS and if it's of any interest i will gladly share it in a way that's desired.

Then this is done i will make separate versions, also with an web UI but with a different look than the COS module based on an COS template if i find one. I will do this for Linux, OSX and maybe as an file to use in Cygwin for Windows to make things easier for me.

It's one thing i have to ask and it is how can i decide via for example nmap or nc if a port are in an correct stealh mode or not.
I have seen what filtered port is the same as an stealthed port, is this true, is it something else to consider to be sure it's a correct stealth port?

I put together an app for nmap in the ClearOS 5.2 webconfig here, might be of interest
www.clearfoundation.com/component/option.../func,view/id,14512/

It can be used to scan local interfaces of ranges on your subnets...

Hi Tim
I'm starting to believe you are Superman outside the Clear Foundation

This seems to be exactly what i'm looking for and it looks like it uses alot of the possibilities of nmap even more than i was aiming for to begin with.
I'm really interested in this for ClearOS 6.2 x64. I guess i need a this compiled for x64 or the source code to look at.

I have tried to install it as in the 5.2 guide.
Code:

Packages  scipped because of dependency problems:
app-network-scanning-5.1-1.i386 from timb
2:nmap-5.21-4.el.x86_64 from clearos-core

I have COS 6.2 (x86_64)

I should have mentioned...its written for 5.2 only. The framework has been completely rewritten in 6.2. I'm porting them over in due course
