So is VerCom going to release a update to their modules that they provided for ClarkConnect?

ccforums.clearfoundation.com/showflat.ph...mp;page=0#Post105818

I am building a new house and would like to install a PBX/VOIP system, my first thoughts were Trixbox, but if ClearOS already has something... why switch?

If they do not build one . . .

You might want to look at pbxinaflash.com - obscenely easy.

Heck, they have a VM of it that you could probably just load up on ClearOS

Just thought you might want to correct this post. Its Vercom Systems. They will be issuing a release soon. They are currently beta testing their release for Clear OS 5.1. I had previously been told they would release it in February. Here is what I received from their support team:

Hi Preston,

We will be posting on the ClearOS user forums with more information soon. We already have beta testers running IPlex with ClearOS 5.1 and are finalizing the changes needed, but do not have a firm release date.
Sincerely,
VerCom Support

If you have any other questions, I can pass them along to the support team.

Thanks,
Preston

Just wanted to post an update.

Originally I was told that they would release something in February, then in March, and its now the middle of April. I'm beginning to think my company's investment in Vercom licenses was a bad idea which is sad because their integration with clarkconnect (ClearOS) is superb. I'll drop them a line again, and ask for a firm release date. If they still can't provide a reliable timeline, I think we will be dropping them as our asterisk solution.

Hi Preston,

Definitely contact them, because IPlex on ClearOS is not vapourware...I assisted with an upgrade from ClarkConnect to ClearOS 5.1 using IPlex and have seen it in production. I can't speak highly enough about the guys at Vercom Systems when it comes to PBX, VoIP, fax...all things Asterisk, basically.

I second Ben on contacting them. I've been beta testing IPlex on ClearOS 5.1 for several months now. Had a few interface issues to work through, but IPlex has been rock solid now for at least half the time I've been beta testing.

Their tech support is good. I wouldn't be without them. I'm guessing they want to measure twice and cut once, as the saying goes.

I've contacted them twice now about an upgrade timeline and once about beta testing the update for 5.1. I got vague responses back the first two times and no reply the third. I'll try again I guess. thanks for the info, its nice to hear that it is out in a production environment already.

Thanks,
Preston

Vercom finally got back to me and we are working on a fresh iplex/clearOS install. They should have a module out soon.

That would be great. Especially now that vercom has raised their prices to $250 per user from $50. They also won't let you transfer users licenses from your old system to your new one. Talk about pricing most SMBs out of the market. I had 20 user licenses with them before, now I'll be building my own freepbx or going with trixbox.
