Hi Si, not sure if your still testing the new kernel, but to help diagnose I need to know what driver module your card uses - can you post the output of /etc/modprobe.conf . Having a quick google it appears there are others with issues detecting those cards and 2.6.32.x

Hi Steve, normally the kernel would need patching with the netfilter patch-o-matic however it appears that the kernel has already the netfilter time module available, so in theory you just need a compatible and newer version of iptables (1.3.5 in ClearOS5.2 doesn't support it). Upgrading iptables isn't straight forward either as it will break several key parts of the firewall...i'd wait for ClearOS6.x
Code:

[root@starlane ~]# grep -i time /boot/config-2.6.32.21-166.timb2.i686
..snip..
CONFIG_NETFILTER_XT_MATCH_TIME=m

Hi Tim,

When is v6 going live ? Do you have working beta ? I will wait until 6 comes out. I am assuming it will have the time feature already built in ?

Not necessarily built in - but now is a good time to make a feature request!

I have upgraded to this kernel to resolve a "kernel: dst cache overflow" bug in kernel 2.6.18-194.8.1.v5.
But after the upgrade I get this error and my box don't work anymore as transparent proxy
- "cc-firewall: Error: /etc/rc.d/firewall.lua:3659: Unable to commit: mangle: Unknown error 4294967295."

Any idea how to solve one of these problems?

The updated kernel unfortunately isn't compatible with the protocol filter, are you running this service?

Yes, i'm running the protocol filter and I need it.
Any help to solve the "kernel: dst cache overflow" problem with a production or development kernel?

Hi Duccio, you have to use the same name as the file you downloaded. In your case you have downloaded the PAE version so would be
Code:

rpm -ivh kernel-PAE-2.6.32.26-175.timb1.i686.rpm

(I note you appear to have downloaded it twice, as the second version has .1 on the end...)

I'm not sure this kernel has a module built in for Atheros ar5008 - you may have to compile your own. You maybe able to use the Madwifi driver?
