Hi,

We can expect Transmission as a app in the marketplace. Only i'm not sure what the release schedule is.

I've submitted a version of Transmission-2.52 to the build system, for both i686 and x86_64

For testing you can run:-

Code:

yum --enablerepo=clearos-contribs install transmission
transmission-password PASSWORD
service transmission-daemon start

Navigate to web interface at clearosip:9091 (username is admin). Don't forget to open the incoming transmission port in the firewall (not 9091)...which can be found in the web interface settings

If there is enough positive feedback, it can be moved to the contribs repo

I have installed it 16 hours ago.

I have a problem right now with disk space so Transmission keeps complaning that it cannot save resume file, but i am pretty sure that i NOT because of transmission.
It downloads fine, but i had to edit settings.json file for white list.

I've installed it and so far it works fine. On my test machine I installed Transmission 2.10 from source, it works good aswell but I rather run the latest version.

Controlling it via Transmission Remote on my Windows desktop and with the android app.

Good job, thanks.

I'm trying to get this installed on a 32bit system. Not having any luck getting yum to find a package to install. Has something changed?

Here's what I'm trying:

Code:

[karmatose@Deathstar ~]$ sudo yum --enablerepo=clearos-dev install transmission
[sudo] password for karmatose:
Loaded plugins: clearcenter-marketplace, fastestmirror
ClearCenter Marketplace: fetching repositories...
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
 * clearos: mirror2-dc.clearsdn.com
 * clearos-addons: mirror2-dc.clearsdn.com
 * clearos-core: mirror2-dc.clearsdn.com
 * clearos-dev: mirror2-dc.clearsdn.com
 * clearos-extras: mirror2-dc.clearsdn.com
 * clearos-updates: mirror2-dc.clearsdn.com
 * private-clearcenter-dyndns: download1.clearsdn.com:80
Setting up Install Process
No package transmission available.
Error: Nothing to do
[karmatose@Deathstar ~]$

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is it just not available for 32bit systems?

Thanks!

Edit: Just tried it in a 64Bit VM and same thing. What gives?

Instructions are a little bit outdated, its moved to the test repo. I'll edit my post

Code:

yum --enablerepo=clearos-test install transmission
transmission-password PASSWORD
 service transmission-daemon start
