Android app for monitoring ClearOS 3 Years ago  
I hope this is in the right category. There is an app preview on Software API page for months now for android. I have been patiently waiting for more detailed info, none yet.
So I humbly ask you, will this ever be released to public, or does anyone have some info about it?
Would be very helpful to use it, and monitor it "on the go".

Hi Marko,

According to the Roadmap, it will be implemented in ClearOS 5.2.
Check the Roadmap Update when this is scheduled.

Hi Marko,

Just to clarify, the Android App was just a demo and doesn't work out of the box. Once we have the new web application framework in place, we can revisit the Android application. However, if you are an Android developer that shouldn't stop you from doing some cool things on the current 5.x release. Just let us know and we can definitely point you in the right direction.

Thanks man. Unfortunately , I'm no developer, only a nosy admin, who is eager to see that app so I could monitor my 5 clearos servers.

Hi Marko,

When you want to monitor some of the basic settings from a Windoze client ... on the CC 4.3 CD there is a file called "cc-monitor.exe".
You can start multiple sessions of it, but don't ask me why it's no longer on the ClearOS CD.

Old thread, but if you are an iPhone/iPad user, look into iStat for remote monitoring. I have it installed on both my servers and it provides limited, but useful information. bjango.com/help/

Hi all,

Darryl is working on creating some standards for creating the REST-like API in ClearOS 6.0. We should have another Android App going as a proof of concept again. This time, it will work right out of the box with ClearOS 6.0 (unlike the previous hack to get around the lack of SOAP in Android).

Hi,

that would be perfect. For now, if it could help anybody, I use the "Server Assistant" app for android that shows limited information about the server, but not the analysis of the services. Swinedroid is able to do that (only Snort service), but the requirement for that is possibility of Snort to log to the MySQL database (Default ClearOS can't do that).
