TOPIC: Zarafa Community Edition in 6.3

Re:Zarafa Community Edition in 6.3 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Great, finally Zarafa integrated with ClearOS 6.3. For $10, I think it's fair to the Tim's hard work.
Just a question, What if there are members who want to try Zarafa community first before buying?

I also agree with the opinion that the mail server is a basic feature of ClearOS. There are at least a mailserver module or a webmail (such as the horde in ClearOS 5.2) for the use of the mail server without any additional applications, such as features in Zarafa. (I think this started in this topic) . So can a lot of options for ClearOS users.

I think that is a good question. As to an answer I am unsure. Possibly they should change the licensing to something like the Joomla extension directory.
Where it is offered free for non-commercial use.
Its a real problem isn't it? How do you reward contribution. How do you gain revenue for work without releasing product to some who might just leach.

Stephen, there was a bug in app-smtp, see this thread

Andi / Stuart, I believe if you ask Ben nicely he can sort out trial licenses for those that want it

Can you uninstall it via shell (assuming that's the way you installed it) and then reinstall it via the market place? It will show up that it's already paid for based on your Clear Center account. Careful though, I thought I noticed during the initial configuration wizard with ClearOS6.3 that once you uninstall an app, it won't show up in the marketplace again. That doesn't mean you couldn't do a yum install of Zarafa Community from your shell prompt, since it's in the repos.

I have tried the steps listed above but when i try yum upgrade app-smtp i just get "No packages for marked for update"

i ran postmap /etc/postfix/searchdomains and still no joy

Any other suggestions would be massivly appreciated

I installed zaraffa using the marketplace and the install seemed to go fine, but there is definately somthing amiss with it

Im not too sure how i would go about removing zarafa using shell access as zaraffa no longer shows up in the marketplace since i have installed it

I had a feeling this policy (not mine!) was going to cause issues...the default filter settings for Marketplace now set the "filter by install status" to "Not installed". That means, once you install an app, it will not be displayed in Marketplace unless you set this to "Filter by install status" which removes all filters...or "Installed".

I have tried everything that has been suggested to no avail, if anyone has any other ideas that would be great as ive now been working on this for 8 hours straight, no one in the company has had any emails at all since yesterday and things are getting a little desperate now

Shell access is available if anyone wants to check out my settings

Best wishes
