ClearOS 6.3.0 Test Release 11 Months ago
The ClearOS 6.3.0 test release is now on the mirrors and in the repository. You can upgrade your version of ClearOS to the test release by running the following:

Code:

yum --enablerepo=updates-testing upgrade

Or you can get the ISO on any of the mirrors. I know that some of them have it already on there.
This contains the latest kernel and will require a reboot. This release is for TESTING only and is released to find bugs. It is anticipated that the final will contain the code for Zarafa, the Mail Stack, and a bunch of other modules...yipeee. Big thanks to all who helped!

Compared to the long wait we made you endure for 6, this was a piece of cake...no? This is largely due to Shad's genius so props to Shad. Peter will likely give additional road map insight but I wanted to preempt him here on the board so that he knows just how much we appreciate him and his hard work.

UPDATED: Yes...I don't know why the forum engine goofed there..Perhaps I had a bad snippet.

Thanks for the update - but shouldn't that be...

Code:

yum --enablerepo=clearos-updates-testing upgrade

Update: Over 200 packages installed on each of my i686 and x86_64 test servers - and 6.3 is up and running... Thanks again.

I got 137 on a 6.2 yum update alone. Then the upgrade gave something like 46 more. Looks like there is a major 6.2 update going through at the same time.

The base code has been updated to 6.3 also (released 2 days ago), as well as a load of app upgrades

Thanks to Shad and team for the prompt upgrade! couldn't spot the ISO's yet?

I updated to 6.3.0 and now I get the following error when trying to login to the Zarafa login page

Cannot connect to the Zarafa Server.

Everything appears to be running in the web config and the login page does come up but I can't login.

Ran the update on my 6.2 x86 pro test vm

[code]Error: Package: 1:app-marketplace-core-1.2.5-1.v6.noarch (clearos-updates-testing)

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
[/code

I am actually trying at the moment to get a xen kernal working with 6.2 at the moment but running low on time to test the 6.3.0 properly

I can't seem to get bandwidth 1.1.0-1 in ClearOS 6.3, does anyone know why that might be?

Sequence of events:

Update is available!

Free package added!

No dice.

Is there an alternate method of upgrading that could be taken - or any assistance that could be provided to get the advanced bandwidth management features in 6.3?

When a user logs into their profile there are no links to take them anywhere so even though they are authorized on some flexshares the profile page doesn't show this. And they don't know how to navigate to their flexshares.

.Also, after installing MySQL when I try and access the MySQL management console I see this:

Code:

Not Found

The requested URL /mysql was not found on this server.

Re:ClearOS 6.3.0 Test Release 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago
@Steven, it appears the Marketplace is out of sync with the repo's - i'll ping Ben with your message. 1.0.10-1.v6 is the latest version available, as verified via 'yum --enablerepo=* list app-bandwidth*'

@Gerry, you should have two menus at least on the left for user certificates and user profile?
You can't administer the flexshares page via the user from the webconfig, the permissions relate to the access via network (Windows Networking or FTP)

Can you check you have the following installed? app-users, app-user-certificates, app-user-profile and app-mysql (for your last error)
