Yum Updating problem 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago

When I run "yum update" or "yum upgrade" I get the following error:
"Missing Dependency: libevent-1.4-so-2 is needed by the package nfs-utils"
I typed "yum clean all", and tried to install the package libevent-1.4. I could not get anything to work. What can I do?
Also, can I upgrade to version 6 without doing a reinstall? A reinstall would be a big job, because I have a lot of data and settings that would have to be replicated.

Whats the output of 'yum repolist' and 'rpm -q nfs-utils'
What version of ClearOS are you using? it would appear something is being upgraded but being blocked by nfs-utils...if you don't need it remove it.

OK looks fine, libevent-1.4.13-1 is available in the base-os repo. Something is being updated that wants to upgrade libevent...can you post a large portion of the yum log, as its not clear what.

I removed nfs-util, and then everything worked.
I'll install it later when I need it.
