How to activate other languages 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hi all,
I would like to help with translation and translated the first apps for my own. But in the moment I can not use my translations.

I enabled my language here: mysqerver:81/app/language (Its not in the menue)
And I saw in the bugtracker:
0000547: Disable other languages until translators have had a chance to translate

But is it now possible to activate a language for testing?

Greetings
Alex

Hi Alexander,

You can start translating here but first you need a account. Send a mail to developer@clearfoundation.com requesting for a account for the Pootle server.

Thanks Marcel for the answer,
but I have done all this yesterday.

For testing I used my own pootle-server and translated for example "users_lang.php".

But now I would like to see my ClearOS6 in german but copy the file into /usr/clearos/apps/users/language/de_DE/users_lang.php and selecting german as language does not work.

Okay!

Don't know how to do this with your own server but if you use the pootle server of Clearfoundation you can see the change you made to the language file. The pootle server is synchronizing the language files with a ClearOS server. You can login into this server if you have a account.

Didn't you get a reply of Clearfoundation?

Hello!

I've received this message from Peter Baldwin:

The translation effort is not yet complete. We seem to stall on it from time to time, but it's getting done. Every single app (about 80 of them) have to get audited and we're about halfway through.

Hi all,

There were ClearOS changes just yesterday to address translations ClearOS will support a "translator" mode which will:

1) Display all the untranslated tags in webconfig (see screenshot)
2) Pull down the latest version from translate.clearcenter.com and override the installed translations

We're making progress, but it's slow.
