Well, that was a long development cycle -- that won't happen again
Many many thanks to everyone in the forums for helping out with the release. Though I'm certainly one of the most visible development team members here in the forums, Shad, Ben, David, Darryl, Heath and Aaron (the HTML/CSS/graphics genius) have spent a lot of time over the last year pulling this all together. Hats off to the team! And Tim - a special thank you to you.
When writing the release announcement today, it brought home just how much was done over the last year+. There are a *lot* of changes under the hood in ClearOS 6:
- 64-bit
- Marketplace
- 80-ish apps (with a bunch more coming in the next two weeks)
- A new app framework
- A new installer
- A new build system
- Upstream version 6.x
So... we can now take advantage of this new foundation and run fast for the next couple of years. Next up: the mail stack. Next week, you will see beta versions for the following apps:
- SMTP Server
- Zarafa Community
- Zarafa Extension
- Antimalware Updates
- Greylisting
- Mail Filter (library only)
- System Database
There's a bit of a show stopper with the "System Database" right now (a Zarafa dependency), but hopefully we can get that resolved.
