historically for ClarkConnect the source RPM's aren't providede for beta releases as it's too much of a moving target

I assume the same will apply to ClearOS

First of all, thank you to Peter and the team for all their hard work on this project. You guys are doing an amazing job.

Just a quick question. Loaded up the iso and...can anybody install/remove modules from the web config/X ?

I've search everywhere and even checked the release notes to see if I'm missing something.

I'm feeling really dumb here because I have a feeling the answer is right under my nose.

Nope no option here from the menu yet...usually additional modules are available after the system is registered, but thats not in place yet. I imagine it will appear over the next few days.

You can try installing using yum, but that leads to errors here as the download mirrors are presumably updating. (press ctrl-alt-F1 to get to a console, press ctrl-atl-F8 to get back to X session)...or login via SSH

'yum search app-blahblah'

I just made sure I ticked all the boxes during install

I just did a vanilia install for this setup. Normally I ssh after the fact for any changes, but the classy interface is just so purdy lol. Very professional looking

While I was playing I remembered a module list with everything available in all the CC's and even went back to make sure it was there and that I wasnt losing my mind

As Tim mentioned, we typically don't bother with the source code until we're deeper in the beta process (or someone asks of course!). Most of the underlying RPMs won't change much between now and the final release, so we can start the process earlier.

By the way, all the important bits are sitting in the Point Clark Networks SVN:

- Webconfig: svn://svn.pointclark.net/public/webconfig
- Packages/Patches/SPECS: svn://svn.pointclark.net/public/packages

We'll be migrating all of this to the yet to be created code.clearfoundation.com server before the final release.

Wow... everyone is beating me to the punch! I just added it to the release notes about how to install from the command line (yum). Since the registration system is offline, the software update tool is not available too.

Good news, but my downloading speed is about 12.3KB/s - is it normal?

No, although I get the same here too...(I hope Peter doesn't mind this) - but maybe try a different mirror?

Wow... the response has been overwhelming. I have never seen anything like it before for a beta! Some of the mirrors are maxed out... sorry. download3 is the best bet right now. We have plenty of bandwidth available in the ClearSDN -- room for over a dozen mirrors. Needless to say, we'll be bringing them online ASAP. We typically turn most of them on for a full release. We have never had to do that for a beta
