Enterprise 5.2 - Any way to release client leases? 2 Years, 1 Month ago
I recently got about 10 static addresses from my ISP and thought I'd use Clear for DHCP to assign them to my small network. My mistake was setting up a wireless AP also on the network. Now clients with wired and wireless adapters take an IP for both and I run out of IPs from the DHCP scope. Compounding my problem is the fact that I cannot release IP's from the active list even after the lease term has expired.

Is there a way to arbitrarily release addresses no longer being used or needed? Everything I read says no, but I'm hoping there is, or there is another way to handle this that someone could advise.

Thanks

I think you can. Stop dnsmasq ("service dnsmasq stop"), edit the lease file /var/lib/misc/dnsmasq.leases then start dnsmasq again ("service dnsmasq start").
