are you serious?

dig into some scripts if you want more, like /etc/logrotate.d/squid for example and change the frequency there.

for as large as the functionality is for squid the webconfig for it could be huge. there has to be a cutoff at some point and clearfoundation/calrkconnect has done a fine job without opening any cans of worms

100% pfsense did it in so few lines of code, yeeh

I will skip this product. Developers r not even here. I asked some important msgs here...
So called web gui for SoHo and small network under 50 clients demands my knowledge of command line and wants money for updates. I know that, but won't recommend 90% clients that "windows" is pc. Docs r not even half done....

pfSense is a great project. I hope it meets your needs.

Thank you for your input on things you'd like to see in Webconfig for configuring the Squid module. We'll take those suggestions under advisement and perhaps add them to an advanced section sometime in the future.

I'm sorry that a ClearCenter developer was not able to answer your question in a timely manner. If you must talk to a developer feel free to open a ticket with ClearCARE.

I'm sorry that Webconfig did not cover all the points of your needs. We try to implement an environment that meets most people's needs which change from time to time based on innovations in the marketplace. As we grow, we will continue to add more technical staff to the project and try to make it a viable platform for most typical network configurations.

Hi,

Just going to add my support to the Clear team We have achieved amazing things with clear 5.1, and yes there are still hundreds of improvements and modifications to be made. I run into several things a day and think 'that should work differently', (or just work at all!)...but it is only with the many users we have all testing and contributing that these little things will get sorted out.

Yes there are many more features that I would like to see done from the GUI, but all in good time. When we are on to 5.3 (maybe?) and things are a little less hectic...does that happen in IT...Samba 4, Squid 3 etc....there will be opportunity to increase the feature set.

be patient and stick with it
