Kernel-devel 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hello, been trying to find a repo for kernel-devel 2.6.32-220.23.1.v6.x86_64 but no luck.

Installed Packages
kernel.x86_64 2.6.32-220.23.1.v6 @clearos-updates
Available Packages
kernel-devel.x86_64 2.6.32-279.v6 clearos-addons
kernel-doc.noarch 2.6.32-279.v6 clearos-addons
kernel-firmware.noarch 2.6.32-220.23.1.v6 clearos-updates
kernel-headers.x86_64 2.6.32-279.v6 clearos-addons
kerneloops.x86_64 0.11-1.el6.rf rpmforge

#yum clean all
# yum install kernel

doesn't yield any packages at all even when I have imported clearos-dev and clearos-epel

Suggestions?

You can do a:
Code:

yum install kernel-devel-`uname -r` --enablerepo=clearos-dev

If you don't mind rebooting your server you may do better to do a yum update then reboot the server to update to the latest kernel first.

I have the same problem as I am wanting to install Vmware tools.

[root@gw ~]# uname -r
2.6.32-220.13.1.v6.x86_64
[root@gw ~]# rpm -q kernel-devel
kernel-devel-2.6.32-279.2.1.v6.x86_64

I have tried yum clean all and yum install kernel-devel-`uname -r` --enablerepo=clearos-dev
and yum install kernel but its just not finding anything.

Any suggestions please ?

That's a kernel from the earlier beta's... you need to upgrade the kernel, and reboot the system so its running the new version
