I am in the process of installing Clear 6.2x64 on a system with a Dell MD1000 attached. I have three 80GB disks on the main box and twelve 2TB drives in the MD1000.
I am using software RAID 1 in Clear for the three 80GB drives with one as a spare.
I have designated the 12 2TB drives to be in a software RAID in Clear as well.
The issue is when I create a RAID 6 for the array. Clear will let me assign the 12 to the array (/home using XFS file system)
but I cannot continue with the installation.
I get an error from Clear saying my formatting of the file system is too large for XFS. Ah, no. I am not even close to the theoretical maximum for XFS.
I tried ext4 as well but get the same message.
Is this an installer bug? Can I just create the large array after the install?
Thoughts?
