TOPIC: Windows Clients get error when changing password
#43187
Windows Clients get error when changing password 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I am getting an issue where users are running into an error when they want to or need to update their passwords.

It does not prevent them from changing it, it just becomes confusing when a user sets the password and states that the password is invalid and "must be typed with letters", then a user tries using the old password and subsequently does not work.

Informing the user that the password they have set is correct even though the computer is telling them otherwise. However, this is not an acceptable outcome for the long term.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have looked into both samba and ldap causing this issue, and there seems to be nothing much to address what I am running into.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
