I have a question on Zarafe mail. I wil be happy to donate the 10 bucks but I like to test Zarafa first.
Can I buy Zarafa, test it on a Clearos 6.3 beta 1 and transfer the licence later to my life machine?
If you install the beta of ClearOS 6.3.0 you can already test Zarafa. I don't know when the Final will arrive but this is quote of Peter Baldwin.
The 6.3.0 was given the green light, so the final release will be out any day now. The minor releases will have much shorter release cycles since we're dealing with a much smaller change.
So, the time has come to migrate from Windows to ClearOS. I will do that with a second PC.
The PC on wich I am testing Clearos with Zarafa will become the temporarily host for my Windows machines (VMWare).
So I have to transfer the Zarafa licence from the test PC to the life PC. Can I just scrap the test Clearos PC? Don't I lose my license that way?
You can never 'loose' a license to a paid app that is not on a subscription basis. The Zarafa Community Edition for ClearOS is a one-time fee. If you delete a system from ClearCenter's system management portal that has a Zarafa Community license, it will be freed and can be used to apply to another registered server.
