TOPIC: Import cyrus-imapd databases FAILED
#21655
Import cyrus-imapd databases FAILED 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Just upgraded a CC4.3 to ClearOS 5.2. During the boot process I get the following error:

Importing cyrus-imapd databases FAILED

When the box is up and running. The services page shows that the Mail Server is running, but I am unable to start POP3 and IMAP services.

I get the following error:

A protocol is enabled, but the mail server is not running!

Again the Mail Server service shows that it is running.

Any idea how to correct this?

This was resolved by following these instructions from ClearOS support:

Try logging into the server as 'root' and typing:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/cyrus-imapd stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/cyrus-imapd restart
/etc/rc.d/init.d/cyrus-imapd stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/cyrus-imapd start

Thanks, this helped at least for this issue.
After doing restart it worked properly again telling me [ OK ] for good database import and then imap startup...

Still I don't know why my clearos server gives this error:
DBERROR db4: Logging region out of memory
and then stops...
