hide unreadable folders 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago

Hi all,
I want to hide the network folders the user can not enter because the permission is denied. My aim is that the user can only click the folders they can open.
In the /etc/samba/smb.conf I played with: hide unreadable = yes but it did not do anything. I played with the ACLs but also nothing happend. Everything is visible, even that not everything is readable. Google my best friend could also not help me.
Does on of you have any idea what I can do?
Thanks a lot.
Cheers.

Hi Robert,
In developing Flexshares, I was surprised (and spent way too much time) to find that I couldn't hide folders that a user did not have permissions to access.
So...I'm not sure you're in 'good' company...but you're not alone!
If you find a solution, I'd be happy to implement it.

Hi Ben,
thank you for your reply. It is at least good to know that there is maybe no way to do this.
Cheers.
