TOPIC: command line using apps
#43138
command line using apps 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I want to use clearos 6.2 apps from the command line. Is this possible? Is there some documentation about this issue ?
It would be nice to use the command line for the user-app.

(or is there a specific command line for clearos like drush for drupal ?)

thanks
Robert (newbie ClearOS)

We use scripts quite a bit to call the ClearOS API/libraries to accomplish tasks that are run in background or on Ajax calls. You just have to dig around.

For example, if you want to do something around users, have a look at how the account-import tool calls the User API, found in /usr/sbin

Does that help?

Thanks Ben, for your quick response. It is not what I expected, but it certainly is a good starting point. Let me first, as you suggested, look around in /usr/sbin.

I'll keep you informed about my quest.
Grateful for any help.
