Hi "Testers". Thought it might be a good opportunity to post here first and then the forums sometime next week on updates that were placed for 5.1 and 5.2 in a normally disabled repository. We'll be releasing a service pack shortly for both 5.1 and 5.2 versions containing the normal bug fixes issued since the original the last ISO build. In addition to those, we're launching the first version of ClearCenter's "App Store". ClearAPPS, ClearMARKET...it hasn't been officially named yet, but essentially, think of the new packages as enabling "Android Market" or "Apple's iTune" functionality to ClearOS. With the first release, we've created a much closer link to ClearCenter services and support than previous was possible. You'll get the idea as soon as you apply the updates and have a look under the ClearCenter tab in webconfig. To apply the updates coming down in the soon-to-be-release service pack *and* install the ClearAPPS functionality, drop into command line and run: yum --enablerepo=base-plus upgrade You can send feedback on usability to me directly (bchambers@clearcenter.com) or via this group. When we post the updates to the forums next week, we can move the discussions there. If any wants to 'play' but not commit to a purchase, feel free to private message me with your ClearCenter portal account username. I'll give you purchase terms for 30 days (if you don't already have terms) that will allow you to buy services not only through the virtual cart but also directly through a Purchase Order link that will show. Thanks, Ben

Final is not too far off. We'll probably have a single RC this time out.

Hi Peter, the tone of your announcement above suggests there may not be an intermediate RC release due to it's maturity, and may go straight to final, is that likely?

Ugh... Samba bootstrap issue. Something has changed in 3.4.2.

Beta 2 is going through the last sanity check. It will hopefully make an appearance later today.

I agree with you Tim Burgess. I'm also very curious about the new ClearOS. Also curious what the future brings for the home edition of ClearOS. Had a little chat with the big guys. Like the quick responses in the forums great!
